Artist's Comments
This illustration was for my father's poetry book called "Além dos muros sem portões" (something like "Beyond the walls without gates", I assure you that it seems nicer in portuguese).
For this one I had to do an entirely different aproach to the art, something more realistic so I had to use references, something I almost never do (mental note: I should use references more...). Essa ilustração foi para o livro de poesia do meu pai chamado "Além dos muros sem portões". Para esse eu tive que tentar coisas totalmente diferentes do que eu faço, fazer algo mais realista então eu tive que usar referências, algo que dificilmente faço (nota mental: usar mais referências...) |

I had some issues with using references (bullshit, I admit) but after seeing great pieces of art on Pixelbrush and others like CG society, all using references I realise how pointless I was.
